Bunny / Rebecca[ABOUT ME] I'm a twenty-four year old gal from Mobile, Alabama. I'm two sides of the coin -- I'm a country gal who relishes in the outdoors and the open sky, but I love getting dolled up and heading downtown. I frequent the beach and Birmingham, the presence of my very best friends making either place a favorite. I married my husband in November of '03, and we moved into our suburbia-dream house in February of '04 (after living in an apartment which I kind of miss). While I love it, I still wish we lived nearer to the city so that work commuting wouldn't be such an issue. We live with our royal-pain-in-the-ass cat, Sookie.
I work in video retail as a manager. I both love and hate my job -- dealing with pleasant customers and being around movies is amazing. It's something I'm interested in, and relatively good at. Not only is there a constant challenge to up sales and help folks find 'that movie with that guy who was with that other guy in that one movie,' but I get to spend hours feeding my OCD by alphabetizing and straightening shelf upon shelf of DVDs.
When I'm not working, I'm writing. Usually that means something original, like the continuation of my first novel in a series, but also in RPGs. I'm addicted, I shamelessly admit this. I also love to sketch and paint, and consider myself a musicphile. I'm guilty of having hours upon hours of music on my iPod that I've never even listened to. I love typical geeky girl things -- Harry Potter and Twilight, Grey's Anatomy and Supernatural, etc. etc. My favorite movies would take up entirely too much space, but among them are
Moulin Rouge, The Phantom of the Opera, Love Actually, the '89
Batman, and
Lost in Translation. My all-time favorite song is 'Unchained Melody' by the Righteous Brothers. I love old music, especially stuff like Patsy Cline. I adore The Beatles and Elton John, and most things British, come to think of it.
[WHAT I PLAY] I started playing in the Potterverse a few years ago, and stayed in it up until early '08. I played in a few original character games, before moving up to a reincarnation-fairy tale game. I created my own game with a similar style, but based on characters having a deep tie to songs. It evolved, and I still play there while expanding into more reincarnation games -- a literary reincarnation game and a Jane Austen reincarnation game.
[GAME PREFERENCES] When it comes to pairings, I prefer to either really be into the pairing or have already played enough with the other player to know that the pairing will go smoothly. As far as playing in general? I'll play with anyone! I love plotting and coming with storylines, so always feel free to yell at me if you see something that could work out with our characters. I reply to threads as often as I possibly can -- which usually means before work if I work in the evenings, and after work if I open. I love it when other players give me the same consideration, instead of replying once a week or so. I'm
always understanding of life getting in the way, though -- it happens!
I don't do slash, and play het relationships exclusively. Slash/femmeslash has never intrigued me, and so I have no desire to play it. I will play either side of a relationship, though, having played lots of male
and female characters. I have no problems with steamy scenes, so long as my co-player is comfortable with them, too. I will happily fade to black if they prefer, or if the scene calls for it -- sex between two established characters can be a little repetitive, after all. It would be like playing out every single dinner, or every single time they watched a movie. Once in a while is great, but it's not necessary to expand upon it every single time. I always like to have an idea of how the first time between a couple goes, and if my co-player isn't comfortable with playing it I'll usually drabble it. Sometimes, it's important to my own character's development in the relationship.
I have a fondness for shy-girl-crush relationships, and forbidden love situations -- May-December romance, Mentor/Student, Opposite-Sides-of-the-Track love, etc. Angst is
always fun, but I do like to have a solid idea of where the storyline is going. I don't like OTP-ditching, but I'll handle it much better if I know that's what's going on rather than a character just deciding they're not in love anymore.
